HydroMediT International Congress is expanding

The series of International Congresses of Applied Ichthyology & Aquatic Environment with the distinctive title “HydroMediT” has as its main objective the international projection of the scientific work and the productive potential of fisheries and aquaculture as well as the sustainable use of aquatic environment.

The HydroMediT International Congresses are the product of the initial collaboration between the Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment of the University of Thessaly (DIAE) and the Panhellenic Association of Technologists Ichthyologists (PASTI), with whom the Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology Department (FATD) of the University of Applied Sciences of Western Greece collaborated and have already received extensive international visibility and publicity, with a host of co-organizers and international supporters.

HydroMediT 2014 (Volos) was attended by 410 delegates from 17 countries that presented 85 papers, while in HydroMediT 2016 (Messolonghi) the 392 participants were from 21 countries and presented 128 papers.

In the context of strengthening and amplifying the character and scientific fields of HydroMediT, we are delighted to announce that the Department of Marine Sciences (DMS) of the University of the Aegean joined the group of HydroMediT organizers, as well as the Hellenic Association of Food Technologists (HELAFT) joined the group of co-organizers together with the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE) and the European Aquaculture Society (EAS).

Our aim is to establish HydroMediT as the most significant International Conference on Applied Ichthyology & Aquatic Environment in the wider region of the Mediterranean.
