Angélique GOBET
PhD, Ifremer – MARBEC
Angélique Gobet studies microbial and macrophyte holobiont ecology in coastal and aquaculture environments. She has worked on the functioning of microorganisms associated with seaweeds, specifically regarding polysaccharide metabolism and nitrogen cycling. She currently aims at comparing eDNA approaches with classical monitoring tools to survey macrophyte and phytoplankton biodiversity to propose new tools for local stakeholders. She is on the board of the French Phycological Society since 2021 and president since 2026. She has coordinated collaborative projects and workshops and she disseminates knowledge about microorganisms and algae in the HosMic Master’s program (University of Thessaly, Greece) and through local outreach initiatives (e.g., Science Festival, exhibitions on algae at a local museum and a library in France).
