Aris Psilovikos
Professor of Sustainable Water Resources Management, University of Thessaly
Prof. Aris Psilovikos is Professor at the Department of Ichthyology & Aquatic Environment of the School of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Thessaly – UTh. Director and founder of the Laboratory of Ecohydraulics and Inland Water Management. Institutional Representative and Scientific Director of the Emblematic Network “Climpact”. An expert in Sustainable Water Resources Management – Ecohydraulics – Ecohydrology.
He has:
- authored more than 183 journal & conference papers, with more than 1250 references,
- supervised more than 9 PhD thesis (5 already fulfilled), 21 Master’s theses, and more than 30 undergraduate theses and co-supervised more than 8 PhD thesis, 25 Master’s theses, and more than 10 undergraduate theses, across numerous departments and schools,
- taught courses in a total of 8 Undergraduate Study Programmes and 9 Postgraduate Study Programmes, both in Greece and abroad,
- written 5 scientific books,

Served as a Vice President (2016 – 2022) and President (2022 – 2024) of the Hellenic Hydrotechnical Association, a scientific association focused on Water Resources, Hydrology and Hydraulic Work, issues.
