We are very proud to present our distinguished Keynote Speaker for HydroMediT2026!
Angélique Gobet is a researcher in microbial ecology applied to sustainable aquaculture at IFREMER and the MARBEC research unit in France.
Her work focuses on microbial and macrophyte holobiont ecology in coastal and aquaculture environments, investigating microbial communities associated with seaweeds, including polysaccharide metabolism, nitrogen cycling, diversity, and adaptation to ecological niches.
She currently explores eDNA approaches alongside classical monitoring tools to assess macrophyte and phytoplankton biodiversity and develop innovative solutions for local stakeholders.
A board member of the French Phycological Society since 2021 and President since 2026, she also contributes to collaborative projects, workshops, and knowledge dissemination through the HosMic Master’s programme at the University of Thessaly and public outreach initiatives in France.
